Apdorojimo būdas

Wet processing helps preserve a clean taste, a delicate aroma and brighter flavour notes.

Ethiopia is the birthplace of Arabica, from where coffee spread throughout the world. It is the fifth-largest Arabica producer in the world and the largest in Africa. Almost 20% of the population is involved in growing, processing and trading coffee. Ethiopia has several coffee-growing areas, the main ones being Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, Harrar, Lekempti, Limu and Jimma. All Ethiopian coffees have a complex, rich flavour. The most famous and most highly regarded growing area in Ethiopia is Yirgacheffe – the pride of the country.

Yirgacheffe is the highest-grown coffee in Ethiopia. The farms lie in the mountains at 1,800–2,150 m, amid lush tropical forest. The high altitude ensures an almost complete absence of bitterness. A sweet coffee with notes of flowers, berries, milk chocolate and grapefruit. On the palate there are notes of bergamot, jasmine and lemon. This variety is almost ideal for espresso, with sweetness and a balanced acidity that is never excessive. It pairs beautifully with milk, giving a berry-yoghurt taste with chocolatey notes.

Coffee Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is Ethiopia's true pride. This legendary variety has won top awards at international shows.
