Composition

Brasil Yellow Bourbon coffee beans – the qualities that make this coffee so prized are its softness, low acidity and nutty and floral notes, which let you enjoy it to the full. Thanks to its high content of essential oils, this coffee is naturally sweet and leaves a pleasant aftertaste.

Rich, balanced, with a light citrus acidity and a hint of chocolate.

Roasted Brazil Yellow Bourbon 100% Arabica coffee beans

Natural (dry). The cherries are dried in the sun with all their pulp, so the beans absorb sweet, fruity, full-bodied flavours (dark fruit, chocolate).
Brazil is the leading coffee-growing country. For 150 years it has been the world's largest supplier of coffee beans.
Yellow Bourbon is the rarest coffee variety in the world. Unlike the usual red cherries of classic Arabica, its cherries are bright yellow. Because of their very thin skin, they are dried by the sun right on the branches – a method that helps preserve all their valuable qualities and makes the flavour brighter. Yellow Bourbon grows on highland plantations in the state of Minas Gerais in south-eastern Brazil. Yellow Bourbon originally came from Yemen; the coffee trees were later taken to Bourbon Island (Réunion), and from there made their way to Brazil.
Yellow Bourbon – the coffee made from these beans has such outstanding flavour and aroma that experts unanimously rank this variety among the best. It is full of spicy and nutty aromas, the balanced flavour has notes of honey, and as the coffee cools slightly a subtle citrus acidity emerges.
Yellow Bourbon is usually natural (dry) processed. Use it for espresso, as the base for milk drinks such as cappuccino or latte, in a French press or AeroPress, for pour-over, or grind it finely and brew it in a cezve (Turkish ibrik) or simply in a cup.
