Tea FAQ
Do you have matcha tea?
Yes, we do. Introducing ETNO matcha.
Is it worth buying tea online?
When you buy tea from the Onelife shop, you get it straight from the manufacturer. That way you not only support Lithuanian businesses but also get Žolynėlis, ETNO and Švenčionių vaistažolės teas at some of the best prices on the market.
I really like tea with ginger. Do you have any?
We certainly do – we have several teas with ginger. Choose your favourite!
Can you drink tea with milk?
Yes, some teas go beautifully with milk. We recommend trying our English Breakfast tea with milk – it helps soften the bitterness typical of this tea. You can also try Indian black tea with milk and a little sugar – that brings you closer to the traditional taste of chai.
Which tea can I drink before bed? And which one just in the evening?
If you're looking for an evening tea, it's important to avoid caffeine – white tea or a herbal tea with little caffeine is a great choice, for example ETNO Mao Feng white tea, the ETNO Šiltas prisiminimas (Warm Memory) herbal blend or Žolynėlis Relax. If you're looking for a tea for better sleep, we recommend functional herbal teas such as Švenčionių vaistažolės Neuro 3 with hemp leaves or Žolynėlis Sapnas (Dream).
Could you advise which tea to choose for the nervous system?
We recommend talking to a doctor or pharmacist, especially if your nervous system is more sensitive. We also offer a wide range of functional teas that may help maintain emotional balance.
What are the health benefits of tea?
Tea is rich in antioxidants and natural compounds that may help support heart function, stimulate metabolism, improve concentration and protect the body from oxidative stress. Some teas may have a calming effect, aid digestion and support the immune system. Drinking tea regularly contributes to a better sense of well-being.
How should tea be stored?
Tea is best kept in an airtight package, away from light, moisture and strong odours – ideally in a cool, dark place. Don't keep it next to spices or coffee, as it easily absorbs odours. Avoid storing it in the fridge.
Does tea have a shelf life?
Yes, tea does have a shelf life. Herbal and green teas are best consumed within 12–24 months, while black and oolong teas keep longer. Once past its expiry date, tea may lose its flavour and aroma.
How much caffeine is there in tea?
Black tea contains about 40–60 mg of caffeine, green tea 20–45 mg and white tea 15–30 mg. Oolong has slightly more than green tea. By comparison, coffee contains about 80–100 mg. Herbal teas such as chamomile or rooibos are naturally caffeine-free.
Why can't I taste my tea?
The cause may be incorrect preparation – steeping too briefly, using too little tea or the wrong water temperature. Your habits and storage conditions also affect how tea tastes. Experiment – even small changes can make a big difference.
